More Cabin Info

The three cabins which provide a spectacular view can accommodate group meetings of up to 22+ people with campsites available as well. The largest cabin or "Hobbit House" as we call it, boasts 16 inch thick walls of rammed mud and straw. The spaciously open 16 by 20 foot, south facing living room is constructed with 18 inch thick straw bales. The Hobbit House by itself, (sleeping 10 +) or in configuration with the other two cabins (sleeping 6 each) is well suited for accommodating individuals, couples or family get-togethers,all the way to group gatherings, retreats and seminars.

All this in a setting where you can enjoy the experience of scenery, solitude, and peace as well.

Immediately behind the cabins is Baldhill Creek. In spring, summer, and fall this is a lovely babbling brook while in winter the surface is frozen solid. The stream produces an abundance of negatively charged ion particles in the proximity of the cabins. With the fir and cedar woods behind the cabins it is a wonderful, peaceful, fragrant, calming and revitalizing setting which is also suited to meditating. At night this refreshing environment encourages a deep sleep often accompanied with dreams.
